Fire Path Qigong Breathing
Here is an easy way to relearn how to breathe with your abdomen (not chest) and receive many health benefits.
Sit or stand comfortably.
Place your thumbs on your navel. This will put your hands on your lower dan tien (lower belly)
Place the tip of your tongue behind your front teeth. Be sure your tongue is also touching he roof of your mouth.
Inhale through your nose. Lead the breath up the Governing Vessel (spine). The breath should take you at least 6 seconds.
Gently hold for 2 seconds
Lift up and hold th Hui Yin ( pelvic floor)
Drop the tongue and exhale through the nose for 6 seconds, sloly drawing the navel towards the spine.
Follow the breath down the Conception Vessel (front center line of the body.
